SolarEgg is a ZVS Single-Stage cycloconverter adopting an advanced DAB topology, based on a proprietary real-time control architecture for modulation, MPPT, and system management. It bypasses the lossy intermediate conversion stage of traditional inverters.

Guaranteed Zero Voltage Switching (ZVS) across all operating conditions provides a flat efficiency curve (always above 94% from light to full load) and minimizes the size of magnetic components and EMI filters. This enabled a world-record average efficiency of 96.1% (CEC) and 95.9% (EU), setting a new benchmark for the solar industry. The result is a new generation of compact, fanless, cost-effective, and ultra-reliable microinverters that maximize energy harvest and reduce system cost.

Working principle
The SolarEgg technology revolutionizes power conversion using a single-stage AC-Dual-Active-Bridge (AC-DAB) topology. On the primary side, a Full Bridge that converts the DC input from a solar panel or battery into a high-frequency waveform. This is stepped up by a planer transformer and directly synthesized into grid-compliant AC power by a secondary-side half-bridge cycloconverter built with bidirectional GaN switches.
The entire process is orchestrated by our EPIC controller, which uses a proprietary Variable-Frequency Modulation strategy. This algorithm continuously adjusts phase shift and frequency to minimize performance-killing reactive power and ensure ZVS, achieving ultra-high efficiency and clean power output in a way that is unattainable by conventional fixed-frequency or multi-stage converters.
